a najbardziej niezwykłe było to, że nie chodzi nawet o samą ilość (a wierzcie mi, oszołomiona dosłownie usiadłam na podłodze) podarunków, ale też o niezwykłą umiejętność odgadywania o czym mi się od dawna marzyło. powtórzę: Czarodziejka!!!

imagine Christmas and birthday in one. imagine that you don't have a piece of paper or any embelishments whatsoever at home. thanks to Susan I could start a whole studio from scratch.
I was amazed but not only by the sheer amount (please, do believe me, I literally sat down on the floor. speechless.) of gifts but also by Susan's amazing ability of guessing my secret dreams.
I'll say that again: pure magic!!!

in the evening, our ever so energetic Michelle made us dinner, poured a glass of red wine and distributed magazines and scissors and told us not to gossip but get down to some serious collaging. ;)

my Collage Caffe friend, Urtica, inspired us to start an art journal about women and the Moon.
every full moon she will ask a question or provide some food for thought.
I decided not to use a bought notebook nor alter a book because I want to be able to add pages whenever and wherever I want. this way my art journal will grow and create "itself".

this is my answer to Tymonsyl's question which was: "How does the time go by?"
this was one of the most difficult questions I had to deal with. and it was asked by a certain three-year old boy. :)

this page in my journal is part of my own version of Remains of the Day project initiated once by Mary Ann Moss.
I love this idea so much - it not only lets you use all those bits & pieces that you can't make yourself to throw away but also it allows you to perfectly capture a moment in time.
this art journal page was made from unused scraps from one of the round robin altered books I was working on that day and some bits lying around on my very messy desk. the vintage lady is a packaging tape transfer as shown in this post by my friend Tymonsyl.
