/Claude Monet/

“People discuss my art and pretend to understand as if it were necessary to understand, when it's simply necessary to love.”
/Claude Monet/

this month's full moon on Collage Caffe - we went shopping and I bought yet another dress...
it's from Rochas spring 2006 collection and it was inspired by Monet's paintings of waterlilies.
Monet is one of my favorite painters, so cruelly treated nowadays, so flattened by the countless copies on mugs, umbrellas, fridge magnets etc.
but this dress is a work of art in itself.
(the text says):
"the poetry of an object"
pan z prawej to monsieur Monet oczywiście. zdjęcie dobrze pokazuje rozmiar jednego z obrazów w temacie lilii wodnych.
/Claude Monet/

the gentleman on the left is monsieur Monet himself. the photo shows the real size of one of his waterlilies paintings.
no copy will ever render make you feel the way you do standing right in front of it.
the quote on the left: "To me, the motif is an insignificant factor; what I want to reproduce is what lies between the motif and me." /Claude Monet/

a jeśli podoba wam się ta sukienka z początku {tutaj} znajdziecie więcej.

if you liked the dress from the beginning, {here} you can see some more.
a na sam deser polecam wskoczenie do obrazów Moneta. {tutaj} możecie pobawić się mgłą, wodą i płatkami maku. wystarczy wybrać "journey". :)

and a final treat: if you sometimes feel like jumping right inside Monet's paintings, {here} is your chance to play with fog, water and poppies. just choose the journey. :)

  4. I was privaliged to see the paintings in Paris - many years ago. It is indeed marvelous to look at the real painting. I too don't like all the famous artwork on bowties (van Gogh!!), mugs and pens... the fabric of the dresses - inspired by Monet's gardens, is something else though. I love it!
