/Eve Ensler/

"Why are women immobile? Beacues so many feel like they're waiting for someone to say: 'You're good, you're pretty, I give you permission.'"
/Eve Ensler/

another full moon. this month's topic were women-rebels, all those who dared to go against the flow.

"Droga jest drogą, nawet we mgle."
/cytat znaleziony w żurnalu LaWenduli/

"A path is a path even in fog."
/a quote found in LaWendula's journal/

mój wpis do żurnala Agnieszki-Anny.

my entry in Agnieszka-Anna's round robin art journal.
she asked us to illustrate any song by The Beatles and to do it in monochromatic white. I chose "Help". these pages were really exhausting emotionally for me so instead of listening to the proper song I played this:

(the highlited words are):
"this pain/less distinct, less definite/ doubts/something is aching, pressing, disturbing/the consciousness/they are all-consuming/suffering/touch us deeper/pain comes unexpectedly/it may be unbearable/sensitivity/while being exhausted"

"{z wywiadu}:
- Gdyby w pana domu wybuchł ogień, jaki przedmiot zabrałby pan ze sobą uciekając?
{Jean Cocteau}:
- Ogień!"

"{interviewer}:
- If your house were on fire, which object would you take with you?
{Jean Cocteau}:
- The fire!"

kolaż powyżej rozpoczęła Wolfann, a ja dodałam do niego swoje trzy grosiki.
w spotkania. w zachwyty i olśnienia. w wymianę myśli i inspiracji. w ogień! ;)
kochane Żurnalistki, dobrze, że jesteście. ♥

the collage above was started by a friend of mine - Wolfann. I just added some comments.
it's a modest little collage with no technical special effects but I like it a lot because it's a perfect illustration of what's been going in my life lately. what I mean is the round robin art journal project which is slowly transforming itself into something more than just a journal exchange. it's about meeting great artists, illuminations. exchange of thoughts and inspirations. the fire! ;)
(the text says):
"the elements - extraordinary women/sometimes it's hard to understand
it's a little bit weird, you know?
there is admiration
am I supposed to say how I feel?"

{wszystkie zdjęcia autorstwa Agnieszki-Anny}

our Warsaw part of the team met yesterday and take a look what we discovered.
the works below were made by Jola Kudela (you can read about her HERE and HERE - both sites are in English as Jola works all around the world) - they are huge stickers that were attached to the old walls of pre-war tenement houses. they are there - gradually destroyed by time and weather which add their extra touches.
{all photos by Agnieszka-Anna}
these gorgeous Botticelli's ladies are pensioners from a nearby day care centre.

/John Irving/

"Your memory is a monster; you forget - it doesn't. It simply files things away. It keeps things for you, or hides things from you - and summons them to your recall with will of its own. You think you have a memory; but it has you!"
/John Irving/

as usual, once a month we collage the same magazine. take a look.

/Julia Cameron/

/Julia Cameron/

once I got an envelope from Drycha and here's how I put the contents together.

FM, thank you for reminding me of Julia Cameron. thank you for being there. ♥

my entry in Czekoczyna's round robin journal. our task was to choose one word. just one...
mine (on the tag) is: Strength.

(the other side of the tag):
"strength is a woman."

/Albert Emil Brachvogel/

"Every talent has two enemies: the admirer and the jealous."
/Albert Emil Brachvogel/

dopasowana do siatkowego wyzwania Craftypantek.
wcześniej siatka otulała nektarynki. :)

a {tutaj} odpowiedzi moich Kochanych Kolażystek z Collage Caffe.

my journaling answer to Tymonsyl's question: "What does jealousy wear?"
(the text says):
"in a corset"

it's also my entry to Craftypantki's challenge which was to use some sort of net.
my net is from a basket with nectarines.

and {here} you can see the answers of my darling Collage Cafffe friends.

mój wpis w wędrującym żurnalu Wolfann. poniżej okładka, a więcej zdjęć tego cuda {tutaj}.
zadaniem było wykorzystanie motywu serca załączonego w kopertce.

my entry in Wolfann's round robin art journal. below you can see the cover of her gorgeous journal and some more photos {here}.
the only rule was to use this black and white image of the heart.

"a splinter of my imagination
sometimes flares up from a word"
/Halina Poświatowska/

i zaczęło się.
to będzie jeden z najbardziej ekscytujących projektów, w których mam przywilej brać udział.
wraz z 19 niezwykłymi (i zdecydowanie zbyt skromnymi) Artystkami rozpoczynamy akcję żurnali wędrujących.

this will definitely be one of the most exciting projects I've been honoured to take part in.
together with my 19 incredible (and way too modest) Artist friends we have just started the exchange of round robin art journals.
above - the photo of the cover of my journal. its title is: "The Taste of Words", hence the quote today.
strony wstępu + pouczenie ;)

my intro pages

the idea is that I put around 200 cuttings into an envelope (the photo above) - random words, quotes, sentences, etc. my journaling friends will choose the words that will inspire them.
(the text says):
"words to taste" + random definitions cut out from a vintage dictionary

the back of my journal
i moja pierwsza strona z istotnym przesłaniem. :)

and my first page with a very important message which says:
"the most important thing is not to be afraid"
the circled word is the definition of "create"
"Każdego dnia spędź trochę czasu słuchając co próbuje powiedzieć ci twoja muza."
/św. Bartłomiej/

"Spend time every day listening to what your muse is trying to tell you."
/Saint Bartholomew/
